About Us

Broward Health Foundation is a 501© 3 non profit organization governed by a Board of Directors. It is the fundraising arm for Broward Health, which is one of the top ten largest hospital systems in the country. It supports Broward General Medical Center, Imperial Point Medical Center, Coral Springs Medical Center, North Broward Medical Center, Broward Health Weston and Chris Evert Children’s Hospital. As the community hospital system, we serve everyone regardless of their ability to pay.

The Broward Health Foundation raises money through individual and corporate gifts, employee annual fund campaigns, planned giving, special events and more.  These initiatives enable Broward Health to continue to bring the most state-of-the-art technologies, medical innovations and staff support to our community’s medical centers. Donations raised by the Foundation also assist Broward Health in providing the highest quality of healthcare to everyone that walks through our doors. We are tax assisted, however, last year there was still a shortfall of approximately $60,000,000 to care for the indigent and uninsured.

A few of the fundraising priorities of the Foundation include the renovation and expansion of the Chris Evert Children’s Hospital, the construction of the Lillian S. Wells Foundation Women’s Center to be located at Broward General Medical Center, as well as assisting Coral Springs Medical Center, Imperial Point Medical Center and Broward Health Weston with their fundraising initiatives.

If you have any additional questions about the Foundation or the work we do, don't hesitate to give us a call or stop by our office. The Broward Health Foundation is located on the corner of Andrews Avenue and Davie Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale. We look forward to hearing from you.
