The Broward Health Foundation and New York fashion designer Kara Ross joined efforts recently to raise awareness and funds for the Chris Evert Children’s Hospital renovation and expansion.
More than 60 women attended a Kara Ross trunk show held at the home of Fort Lauderdale residents Armando and Diane Leighton. In addition to meeting the designer, guests were also able to purchase handbags and accessories with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Chris Evert Children’s Hospital. Michael S. Long, president of the Broward Health Foundation, gave an overview of the hospital’s future expansion and renovation plans.
“This was a fun event for a very worthy cause,” said Danielle Hyman of Weston. “It was so nice meeting Kara Ross and getting to see her beautiful handbag and jewelry collection. It was also exciting to learn about thefuture building plans for our local children’s hospital.”
