Mary Jane Cunningham has been a powerful friend of the Broward health Foundation for the past eleven years. A breast cancer survivor, she hosts an Annual T-Dance to benefit Broward Health Medical Center. The event draws hundreds of people and includes dancing, live entertainment, raffle drawings, and silent auctions. Even with such exciting entertainment, however, none of the attendees forget the importance of the work they do—raising the general awareness of breast cancer. To date, the Mary Jane Cunningham T-Dance has raised close to $100,000 for breast cancer services at Broward Health Medical Center. Each year, the event grows larger and larger. In Mary Jane's own words: "The most important part of this event for me is when young women come up and tell me that they had a mammogram or are going to get one. That is really what this is all about—saving lives through prevention awareness." Close to 300 people attended Mary Jane Cunningham's 10th Annual T-Dance.
